Finding your way as a new Asylum Seeker – Asylum Guides service launched in Cardiff

Are you seeking Asylum? Do you want to know more about the asylum system and the legal process?

If so, then the new Asylum Guides service from the Welsh Refugee Council can help.

Asylum Guides are trained volunteers. They can meet you to provide information about the asylum system, helping you navigate the legal process confidently. Many of the Guides have direct personal experience of the system.

If you know someone who who needs this service, you can also refer them to it.

You will meet with your Asylum Guides Volunteer at key stages of the legal prcess. Interpreters are avilable for non-English speakers.

The local service is part of a UK network that was set up by Refugee Action under their Navigating Asylum partnership programme and uses tried and tested approaches and guidance. See: link to Asylum Guides resources and further information.
