Ask your councillors to help relocate vulnerable Syrians to UK

In 2015, the UK Government initiated a programme to relocate 20,000 vulnerable Syrian refugees to the UK.  This programme is called the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme (VPRS) and so far four Welsh authorities have taken part: Caerphilly, Ceredigion, Neath Port Talbot, and Torfaen with Cardiff recently announcing their interest.  In total they have received 50 refugees.

There is still much more work to do. Get involved and join Together Creating Communities and other organisations by asking your council member to call for your local council to join the scheme.

For more, read the information letter from Together Creating Communities – TCC on how you can do this.

Thank you
